Maori Education Trust (MET)

The MET is financed from private bequests and trusts set up from individuals or businesses. A primary function of the Trust is to provide and administer scholarships in education for Māori students. In addition to MET funded awards, the trust is also contracted to administer scholarships on behalf of the Ministry of Education and other agencies.

Lottery Grants
The Lottery Health Research committee funds research projects that will improve the health status of New Zealanders. It distributes grants to fund:

  • research into the cause, prevention and treatment of disorders affecting the health of New Zealanders
  • research that will lead to advances in health and bio-medical science for the ultimate benefit of all New Zealanders
  • the development, maintenance and retention of a highly skilled workforce of health and bio-medical researchers in New Zealand.

There are two applications you can make:

  • Research Projects and Shared Equipment
  • PhD Scholarships
