Programme Leader: Pacific Cancer Navigation Pilot
Full time, permanent
Improving the health outcomes of our high needs population is one of our main priorities. We are looking for a Registered Nurse who can demonstrate a grounded knowledge and understanding of Pacific Island communities and their cultures. This is great opportunity for a Nurse with excellent Programme Management skills to assist the PHO to make this pilot a success.

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with an up to date Practicing Certificate
- Knowledge and experience in Community, Primary and Secondary Health Care is very important
- The ability to speak one or more Pacific Island languages is preferred
- Programme Management experience will be beneficial

Whanau Ora Co-ordinators

This is a unique opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge to support the health needs of whanau and the wider Maori Community within Waitakere. Your primary focus will be to co-ordinate the implementation of a strengths based model of care for child, youth and whanau.

Essential requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in health and/or social community related sector
- Knowledge of Maori Health concepts
- NZ Driver’s licence
Desirable requirements:
- Competency in Te Reo and Tikanga
- Has an understanding of community development model
- Local experience working in Maori community agencies/ networks
- Qualification in Health or Social Services

Registered Nurse
Haemodialysis Unit, Auckland City Hospital
The Dialysis Service at Auckland Healthcare Services provides Haemodialysis for patients in the Auckland/North Island region. Nurses in the dialysis service work in either the Outpatients Unit (Grafton road site) or the Acute Unit.
It is preferred that applicants have a minimum of two years post-registration experience (in renal/dialysis nursing). However nurses are accepted from other nursing backgrounds. They must be able to work well with a range of primary and secondary health care providers including Iwi/Maori health service providers.
There is an excellent 4-6 week orientation programme where staff are well supported by the Haemodialysis Educator and the Renal nurse educator. During the first 6-12 months all new staff are encouraged to attend the Renal specific study days.
You must have good communication skills, with a commitment to culturally safe practice and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and able to be on-call periodically.
